Contact

Everything to do with ScreenTail goes to one address:

contact@screentail.com

If your mail client opens from a link, the four below will fill in a subject line for you. If it does not, use the address above and write whichever of those four subjects fits — it is what gets the message to the right place.

Who answers, and when

ScreenTail is run by one person alongside other work, so replies are not immediate and there is no support desk behind this address. Most messages get an answer within a few days. Privacy and data requests are handled first, because they carry a legal deadline; everything else is answered in the order it arrives. If a message goes unanswered for two weeks, it is worth sending again — it means something went wrong, not that it was ignored.

Bug reports are genuinely useful

If a tool misbehaves on your hardware, please say so. This site is built and tested by one person with two monitors, and that is exactly the thing one person cannot test alone — ultrawide and multi-monitor setups, high refresh rate panels, HDR modes, unusual display scaling, older phones, and browsers that are not Chrome or Safari all behave in ways that do not show up here.

What helps most: which tool, what you expected, what happened instead, and your browser, operating system and screen. A screenshot is worth more than a description, though on a display fault a photograph of the screen is often the only thing that captures it at all.

If you are not sure a tool is misbehaving or your screen is, that is worth sending too. The guided monitor test walks through the checks in sequence and is usually the fastest way to tell the two apart.

Privacy and data requests

The same address is the grievance contact for privacy matters. What is collected, who processes it and what rights you have over it are all set out on the privacy policy. Sending a request needs no particular form of words — say what you want and it will be dealt with.
